The Charles River Apparel company was started by Walter Lipsett in 1983 with a special interest in providing comfortable clothing practical for the New England area, with the company headquartered near Boston. Walter named the company after the Charles River, an inspiring body of water that symbolizes excellence.

Over the past 40 years, Charles River Apparel has been designing, manufacturing, and distributing casual wear, including everything from athletic wear to business casual polos, jackets, and other comfortable, practical clothing
