Port Authority Clothing Size Chart & Overview

When it comes to ordering clothing items online it is important to reference the specific manufacturer’s size chart to ensure that the clothing you order fits as desired, as different manufacturers may use sizes that can different in actual size from one to another. So, when ordering apparel from Port Authority, use these guidelines to help determine the best size and fit for you:

1- Obtain your measurements

You will need a cloth tape measure to take the measurements and having another person assist you in the process can be very helpful. When measuring the neck, chest, waist, and hips, be sure to keep the tape level or horizontal when taking these circumference measurements.

Neck/Collar: Measure around the neck about 1 inch above the meeting of the neck and top of the shoulder. This will be at the bottom part of the Adam’s apple. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of your chest, just under the armpit. Waist: Measure around the waist at the level of the smallest circumference. Hips: Standing with feet together, measure around the largest circumference at hips. This will be at the fullest part of the buttocks. Sleeve: With elbow slightly bent, measure from the center (back) of the neck, over the shoulder, past the elbow and down to the wrist. Inseam: When standing, measure from the center of the crotch to the bottom of the ankle bone on the medial (inner) side of the ankle. Note: Measurements are in inches.

2- After you have taken your measurements, refer to the appropriate size chart (Men’s, Women’s, or Youth) to identify the size that will be the best fit for you.
