Rain Jackets for the Whole Family – Charles River Apparel

If you’re like my family, we love to get out of the house and onto a new adventure each weekend where the kids can get out and explore someplace new. We love going on family adventures and know that getting wet or dirty is just part of the fun. Sometimes, however, the rain will try to ruin our plans for an adventure – fortunately for us, a quality rain jacket is enough to do the job and keep us dry as we explore new trails and rivers.

Men’s New Englander Rain Jacket 9199

Whether I am on an adventure with my family or fishing in extreme weather, I really do love my New Englander Rain jacket. Ive had it for over a month now and have used it several times this fall. With 8 different color options to chose from (True Navy/Yellow, Red, Yellow, Taupe/Navy, Black, True Navy/Grey, Grey, Maroon/Black) I opted for Black as I thought it would match better with more of my clothes.

The Jacket is made of 100% Polyester Polyurethane making the jacket 100% wind and waterproof. There are “breathing” vents in the front of the jacket as well as under the armpits for better ventilation. For added safety, there is a reflective trim on the front of the jacket as well as on the back. The inner jacket is lined with a Mesh nylon material for added comfort and breathability.

Sizes for this jacket are available in: XS, Small, Medium, Large, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL and 5XL.

Women’s New Englander Rain Jacket 5099

Rain or sunshine, my wife likes this jacket. With a feminine design and 13 different colors to chose from (Periwinkle, Coral/Reflective, Wave/Reflective, Red/Reflective, Grey/Reflective, Aqua/Reflective, Navy/Reflective, Hot Pink/Reflective, Black/Reflective, Buttercup/Reflective, Violet/Reflective, Pink/Reflective,Mint/Reflective) this is the perfect rain jacket for any women wanting to stay dry and look good.

The Jacket is made of 100% Polyester Polyurethane making the jacket 100% wind and waterproof. Side pockets are lined with thicker and warmer material that helps keep your hands warm and dry. In the front, there are “breathing” vents in the front of the jacket as well as under the armpits for better ventilation. Girls New Englander Rain Jacket 4099

For my 7 year old daughter, we got the Girls New Englander Rain Jacket 4099. Lucky for her, she loves the color options of Coral/Reflective, Aqua/Reflective, and Gold/Reflective. The Jacket is made of a 100% polyurethane outer shell with bonded woven backing and taffeta nylon lining in the sleeves. The hood fits extremely well over her head without messing up her hair – which I guess is important for a 7 year old girl!

The ability for the jacket’s cuffs to Velcro tightly around her wrist was a huge bonus for her. As with all 7-year-old girls, she loves the style and fashion of the jacket with its 3M reflective front and back stripe and long body design to better protect her from the elements.

Youth New Englander Rain Jacket 8099

The Youth New Englander Rain Jacket is designed for both boys and girls. While none of my kids have one of these jackets, my niece does. It is made of 100% Polyester Polyurethane making it wind and waterproof like every Charles River Rain jacket. The safety reflective strip is located on the front bottom and back top of the jacket.

Children’s New Englander Rain Jacket 7099

We got this jacket for my 5-year-old little boy. He now calls this jacket his “adventure” jacket because we always tell him to grab it when we go on adventures that take us around water. Whenever I take him fishing, hiking, camping or his new favorite, metal detecting, he has to have this jacket. The polyester Polyurethane and heated sealed seams provide the user with 100% wind and waterproof protection for whatever your adventure holds. The safety reflective strips on this jacket are located on the front bottom and on the left arm. There are no drawstrings on the hoodie, however, there is a tight elastic perimeter sewn into the hoodie that keeps the hood over their head even during windy weather.

There are six different colors available for this jacket. They are: Coral/Reflective, Red/Reflective, Wave/Reflective, Aqua/Reflective, Hot Pink/Reflective, Yellow/Reflective.

Toddler New Englander Rain Jacket 6099

We got this jacket for our 2 year old. I can’t honestly say whether she loves it or not as she will wear anything we put on her- especially if it gets her outside! I do know that my wife and I love how cute she looks in the jacket and we got a lot of compliments and questions asking us where we found such a cute jacket for her. My wife claims that finding a cute jacket for a little girl isn’t hard- but finding one that is also 100% wind/waterproof  is!

It is built with the same high quality heated seams and polyester Polyurethane shell as all of the other rain jackets built by Charles River Apparel to assure protection from the weather. The tight fitting cuffs make it easy for my little girl to move around and play without the sleeves falling down beyond her hand every time she picks up a rock or stick.

My wife and I love how easy it is to clean up after she plays outside. If you have kids- you normally have a wipe handy to simply wipe off any dirt spots. It was so convenient that I may have put her jacket on one time when she was eating so that it wouldn’t stain her Sunday dress (it stays in place much better than a bib!)

The safety reflective strips on this jacket are located on the front bottom of the jacket and two bands on the left arm. There are no drawstrings on the hoodie, however, the design of the hoodie keeps the hood over her head even during windy weather.
