University of Arkansas School Colors
University of Arkansas's school colors are Razorback Red (#9D2235) and Apple Blossom (#FFFFFF). Arkansas's brand standards define 17 colors in all; every official HEX, RGB, CMYK and Pantone value is listed below, along with the story of how the colors were chosen.
History of the Arkansas colors
Arkansas students voted in 1895 to make cardinal red the official school color, choosing it over heliotrope. The university's athletic teams were then known as the Cardinals. After football coach Hugo Bezdek said his 1909 team had played 'like a wild band of Razorback hogs' in a win over LSU, students voted in 1910 to change the mascot to the Razorbacks. Today the athletics department states that the official colors of the university are cardinal and white.
