Tulane University School Colors

History of the Tulane colors
Tulane's school colors are olive green and sky blue. From 1893 to 1919 the university's athletic teams were known simply as the Olive and Blue, after the official school colors. The Green Wave name grew out of a football song, 'The Rolling Green Wave,' printed in the student newspaper The Hullabaloo in October 1920, and by the end of that season the paper used it for all Tulane teams. The university says Tulanians still show their pride in olive green and blue.
