History of the UTSA colors
Orange and white are the official colors of the University of Texas System. On the recommendation of UTSA's Student Representative Assembly, the UT Board of Regents approved adding blue to the orange and white for UTSA's school colors. The roadrunner was voted the mascot in 1977. After UTSA merged with UT Health San Antonio to form the new University of Texas at San Antonio on Sept. 1, 2025, the university kept the UTSA orange and midnight blue and added UT Health San Antonio's orange and a wider palette.

UTSA orange and navy for athletics
UT San Antonio's brand palette uses Orange PMS 1665 and Midnight PMS 289. UTSA Athletics lists navy as #0C2340 (also PMS 289), and its 2026 style guide gives the orange as PMS 1645 C while other official sources say 1665, so check with the licensing office before ordering.
