White clothing

White is the blank canvas of decorated apparel: it takes every ink color, it's the cheapest shirt to print on, and it's the standard for events, uniforms and summer wear. Off-whites like cream, natural and oatmeal are listed separately, so everything here is a clean, bright white.

What counts as white

White
#F2F2F2

White here means a clean, bright white: White, Bright White, Optic White and similar. Cream, natural, ivory, oatmeal, vintage and heathered whites are left out (cream and natural have their own pages). The swatch shows our reference color, #F2F2F2: the median fabric color of every in-stock garment sold as white. A colorway is listed only if its measured fabric color is close enough to read as the same white side by side.

Suppliers sell the clothing on this page as White, Bright White, White Cap, Ultra White, White Reptile, Dtg White and Solid White.

Who wears white

White is the go-to for event and giveaway tees, summer camps, church and mission trips, 5Ks, white-out games, medical and culinary uniforms, golf polos and tennis wear, and any design with lots of colors.

White reads as clean, fresh and simple. It keeps a design front and center, looks crisp on a uniform, and stays cooler in the sun than any other color.

White school colors

Nearly every school lists white in its palette, usually as the second color on jerseys and spirit wear: Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, Wisconsin, UCLA and Florida State all pair their primary color with white.

Official color codes: Ohio State University school colors, University of Texas at Austin school colors, University of Georgia school colors, University of Wisconsin–Madison school colors, University of California, Los Angeles school colors and Florida State University school colors.

Printing and embroidery on white

Every ink color shows up on white, and printing on white is usually the least expensive option because no underbase is needed. White ink and very pale colors disappear. White also shows stains, so it's best for events, summer wear and uniforms that get laundered often.
